BOO! And, No, It's Not Halloween!
During Dancing With The Stars last night, Tom Bergeron introduced a small segment about Macy's, and said that they had dressed several models. It was pretty much a live advertisement for Macy's and their spring dress line, and that's when I saw her.
Our eyes locked across the dance floor, and I knew she had to be mine.
Only, she could never be mine. She had been taken - stolen from my hot little hands!
Who was she who so captured my attention immediately during her 10 seconds on screen?
Oh, Tahari by ASL Printed Brocade Dress, in all your lemony, vintage goodness. I was drooling over this dress. Alas, it was sold out of my size. Oh, the horror!
The dream of this newfound love was taken right out from under me as quickly as I'd discovered that I had to have it.
Tis a sad, sad day for Miss Chicken Wing. I will hope and pine for her, and hope she returns to me one day.
So yes. BOO! BOO, I say.
Until next time,
Miss Chicken Wing
Quote Time!
"It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan."
Thank you, Eleanor Roosevelt, for your incredibly wise way with words. You've provided the world with so many inspirational quotes, and this one speaks to me in particular. Don't know if you've caught this, but I'm a bit of a planner!
Thought I'd share, and jump back head first into blogging! I've missed you, Peeps!
Can't wait to share more bloggy goodness with you all!
Until next time,

They Live Better Than Us!
I will not be showing this blog post to CiCi, MuChi, and Wilkie for fear of them revolting against me and demanding something of this caliber. Heck, that dog house is more attractive than our townhouse! It really slays me.
What is the world coming to? If I could just get that house, made human-size, for a tiny bit of money, that would be fantastic! Mmmkay, so somebody get to work on that! Thanks!
Until next time,

Will Listen To Sexy Voice
"WILL LISTEN TO SEXY VOICE."
Source
So, you've got to be thinking to yourself, "But, Miss Chicken Wing, what qualifies as a sexy voice? What does a sexy voice sound like? Does anyone have a sexy voice that I might know?"
Because I am a dedicated blogger who loves her followers, and I know you all have 1,000,001 things to think about, I won't make you ponder too hard on the depths of what makes up a sexy voice, so I will just spell it out for you. Here are some sources of sexy voices, according to yours truly, and you are safe with me - I am well studied in identifying sexy voices. Mr. Chicken Wing is not as enthusiastic, but he agrees that I am a pro in picking out satisfying sounds! :)
No, I am talking to YOU, Vin Diesel! Now read me the phone book. Go!
Sexy Scottish accent? Yes, please...I will definitely have that!
If this doesn't make you want to haul your patootie to French class, check your pulse because news flash - you're dead.
I wish I was there to hand you a towel, because I know you're sweating profusely. If you're at work or in front of your significant other, I do apologize most sincerely.
There are also some sexy and soothing voices in music, and that is actually the point of this post. I wanted to take some time to help you update your iPods and to introduce you to more songs that you've never heard of or refresh your memory about songs that you already know and love.
Enter Ray LaMontagne. Romantic and rustic, he has one of those voices that makes you weak in the knees and fluttery in your heart. He's got soul and he's real, and I love his sound. So, I want to share some of my favorites with you.
How about starting with one you've probably heard in an insurance commercial?
Source
Or, how about a very sweet song about love?
Source
Well, he's obviously good at the love stuff. Let's continue.
Source
And finally, another little taste of the greatness that is Ray LaMontagne called "You Are The Best Thing."
Source
So, as you can see, there some FINE examples of a sexy voice all around you just waiting to be listened to. If you get the chance, look into Ray LaMontagne. Watch films that star Vin Diesel or Gerard Butler (or Colin Firth, Liam Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, or James McAvoy for that matter). (It's all in the accents for these fine gentlemen). Enjoy the sounds that God made for us to hear: sexy voices!
Have any to share with me? I'm all ears. (Pun intended).
Until next time,

SO EXCITED!!!!
I had a longer-length black necklace that I absolutely loved to wear until disaster struck - it got pulled when I was pulling on my coat and the black beads went EV.ERY.WHERE. It was a horrible mess, and needless to say, I was more than a little bit peeved since I'd only worn it maybe five times.
So, I've been on the hunt to replace said necklace, and I was wanting something with gold accents of some kind. Enter Tori Spelling.
I know you're drooling at this point, so I apologize for that, but this is the Tori Spelling Honeycomb Bead 18" Necklace. I saw a short video on the product and it looked positively lovely on the model. The selling point, however, was the price - they only had 18 left (18 is a lucky number for me) and it was on sale for $19.95 from $40! That's half price! So, I twisted my own arm, bit the bullet, and made the purchase! I should have it next week sometime, and I am very excited about this find!
Another reason for this purchase? Well, I am a member of a very popular online wedding community full of budget-savvy brides, DIY Goddesses, and all-around good people who live, breathe, and work in the wedding industry. Due to my love of all things wedding, I had to join! The inspiration there is outstanding and it comes in every category: wedding planning and execution, party planning ideas, color palettes, and cost effective plans for the everyday event. Even though I am not currently planning a wedding, I have helped several friends in the past, and event planning is something I'm passionate about. I really enjoy offering my ideas to brides-to-be from all over the world (you know, since they're gathered in one place!). It's become quite the hobby of mine, and who knows? Maybe I'll even get the chance to blog for them one day!
What is this community of goodness?
So, the fact that Tori Spelling's necklace features a honeycomb (also known as the home for bees) just made this purchase even sweeter.
Sweet as honey, as a matter of fact. (Pun intended). :)
So, I will be sure to update you on my thoughts once I get my hot little hands on my precious, and if you want to snatch one up for yourself, just click the link under either picture of the necklace! We could be twins, and that would be awesome!
Until next time,

The Only Thing That's Constant Is Change
Some others are these:
"People plan and God laughs."
"The only thing that is constant in life is that things change."
Or, how about the Serenity Prayer: "God, grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change what I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
One that I saw on a friend's Facebook profile yesterday really spoke to me, so I decided to share it with you - because I believe that sometimes, we all just need a little bit of inspiration to get us through to the next day.
The quote is this: "I believe that distance does to love what wind does to fire; it extinguishes the weak and feeds the strong."
Why does this stick with me? Because Mr. Chicken Wing accepted a fantastic job opportunity! It's just not located where I currently am.
Of course, there are two sides of thinking in every situation you encounter - the positive and the negative. I've completely pondered them both, and I'm choosing to side with the positive. I've been asked more times than I can count, "How do you feel about this?" Honestly, I am completely on board with his decision, because I genuinely believe that it is what's best for him, and it could be something that's really good for us in the future.
Yes, it is a bit different, but we haven't taken the "traditional" road yet in our relationship. We didn't start as most relationships do, most have told me we should have been married a long time ago, and there are those who really haven't agreed with our decision to cohabitate before marriage for the past three years. But, while our relationship is in no ways conventional, it's worked for us for the most part for the last six years of our lives, and this is a big change and a new path.
For those that know me well, you know that I am a planner to beat all planners - I love having a plan. "Itinerary" is not a bad or constricting word to me - I rejoice in it! The hardest part for me in this new leg of our journey is just not knowing how it will work. While we were seperated by a lot of miles and a few hours in the second year of our relationship (it was me that "left" for a job that time), we've been physically together ever since then. That will be the biggest transition for me - living life with three little furry mongrels and a tiny turtle, and trying to readjust to being "by myself."
As I said, though, I don't think this is a bad thing. I know that Mr. Chicken Wing has an opportunity to be great and to shine in doing what he's always wanted to do. I know that he will be able to see his family more now than he has in the past 10 years, and that is a fantastic added bonus. While we're sure to put a lot of miles on our vehicles, we might now have the opportunity to explore new places together and make memories that exist outside of our front door, which is a cool thing in itself.
Altogether, I'm doing well - I'm not falling apart, and I'm definitely not a weak or dependent personality - trust me, it's been one of my constant struggles in this coupling - Mr. Chicken Wing likes to be needed, and sometimes I have to work on needing him! What can I say? I like being the boss! Haha!
I'm excited to get to spend even more time with my friends and family, and I'm excited to throw myself into my work, and my pets, and my blogging even! I have big dreams, and I'm going to see them through - and I might just learn more about myself in the process. I truly believe that Mr. Chicken Wing and I can utilize this distance as an opportunity and as a blessing...we might both end up being who we've always wanted to be.
And, that's what we're here for, after all.
Until next time,
Miss Chicken Wing
