Reverb 10 - Prompt #22

December 22 – Travel. How did you travel in 2010? How and/or where would you like to travel next year? (Author: Tara Hunt)

This prompt is a sore subject for me because I love to travel.  I'm sure I would make an excellent traveler should I get to do it more.  If you take a roadtrip with me, you'd be surprised how long I can last between pee breaks.  Maybe that's oversharing, so I apologize.  Basically, I think I'm a great travel buddy.  I wish I would have been able to travel more in 2010, but I will list the awesome places that I did have the pleasure of traveling to.

- Baltimore, Maryland - good trip.  Lots of cool things to experience there, such as the incredible aquarium-.  Beautiful in the Inner Harbor area.
- The beach where my family vacations - I'd love to tell you where it is specifically, but I don't want it to ever become commercial.
- Myrtle Beach, SC - an awesome spot to vacation with some of the best friends in the world!  Loved that trip and the memories made!
- Washington, D.C. area - I traveled there and got to stay for almost a week with one of my best friends as she got married!
- A few good trips to North Carolina - love my family so much and it was awesome getting to see them.  We need to schedule more of those for sure!

If I had my way next year, I'd take a two-week tour of Italy.  Then, I'd take a two-week tour of California (because I want to experience the entire state).  Then, I'd take a two-week tour of Hawaii because I am dying to go there!  Everyone says I'll never want to leave!  Then, since I'm basically traveling all year, I'd take a two-week tour of Ireland, because I've also heard rave reviews about that!  To wrap up my 2011 travel itenerary, I'd do a two-week stint in Australia, because I bet that would be cool!

Unfortuately, I don't think this dream was meant to pan out for me because 1) I don't have that much time off from work and 2) I'm not a billionaire.  But, the question was "where would you like to travel next year?"

How about you?  Where would you like to go next year?

Until next time,

Finally! Beach Recap Sneak Peek!!!

Due to the fact that I have so much glamourous and fabulous shopping to do....okay, time to be honest...I have to go grocery shopping! (Seriously, can I get a Double Yuck for that?!?!) But, due to the fact that I have to go grocery shopping (DOUBLE YUCK!), I don't have time to give the full recap. But, I know that there are some faithful followers who want to know how our wonderful week of vacation went!

So, here is a photo sneak peek, complete with captions thought up by yours truly! :)

Let's begin, shall we?

Stunner Shades...yes, please! Mr. Chicken Wing & I

Umm...the birds really wanted a Doritos party. So we had one.

Okay, that's my island behind me. Thus the pose with the outstretched arms. What do you mean you don't believe me? This is crazy. Alright, that's Ocean Isle from the end of my beach, Sunset Beach.

Preface to the following two pictures. Model poses establish to onlookers that they are actually enjoying your beach. I think it's obvious that they should know that. (Sometimes, they honestly want to know what you're modeling for, but it's best to use discretion when that occurs.)

Model Pose Number One.

And, Model Pose Number Two.

I never really wanted the world to know about my love affair with Snow Crab legs. Oops, guess that's out.

And the last one......

Two pounds down. Absolutely no shame. Now, THAT'S a happy Chicken Wing!!!

I hope you've enjoyed this sneak peek! There will be more to come at a later date. (I know, those were so fantastic that you're not sure how you'll be able to wait until then! Haha!)

Until next time,
A happily tanned Chicken Wing
(Don't worry, I wore sunscreen!)

Traveling = Love.

If there has ever been anything on my MUST DO list, traveling is it! I love traveling! I love packing the suitcases and the car (I know, you're thinking I can't be serious, but I am!). I love that feeling of "putting the puzzle together" when you look at the open back of a Ford Explorer and see the possibilities of the neatest and most efficient way to pack your things into it. Sure, it will be floor to ceiling, but each item will have been placed there on purpose, with love. :)

Yeah, it's safe to say that I am a total freak about some things. Packing a car and containers are two of those things. (I absolutely adore cute things to store other cute things in. There are so many storage options out there these days - the best part is that you no longer have to sacrifice style for functionality). I heart containers!

But, let's veer sharply back to the topic at hand - traveling. Most folks look most forward to the big trips - that all-inclusive resort in the Mayan Riviera, the coastal tour of Greece, the all-impressive tour of Italy that is gorgeous enough to stop your breathing. Those are all on my "dream travels" list, but I sometimes get really excited for the little trips. You know the ones I'm talking about - the 2-3 hour trips to visit family and friends, even if it's just for a few days. I, for one, get really excited and pumped for these trips.

I must show you one of the biggest reasons why!

CiCi and MuChi riding in my lap - passenger side!

On the big trips, my furbabies can't come along...on the shorter ones, they can, and how I do love to have them with me! There really is nothing that compares to "children" who unconditionally love you and would give anything in the world just to come with you!

Mr. Chicken Wing and I love to bring them along - they get SO excited when we ask them the following questions:

"MuChi, do you want to go for a ride?"

"CiCi, you want to go in the car-car?"

(They were brought up using different terminology so we have to use both)! HeHe!

Okay, so faithful followers out there:
What about travel gets you super excited? Do you love the big trips or the smaller trips better?

Until next time,

SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!

Okay, now there are many things that I get excited about, but one of the things that most gets my blood pumping is when there is something I want and I get it for a steal!

Such is the case with my new LUGGAGE SET! Is it just any luggage set, you ask? NOOOO, I say! It is the Diane Von Furstenburg fuschia luggage set! Yes, it's true! Your ears are working! I have finally scored the DVF luggage set that I've been drooling over/viciously internet stalking for the longest time!

And, don't worry...I'm not going to tease you. I've got the eye candy right here!

I know I don't need anyone to point out the fabulous-ness of this set, but it is just exquisite in person! (You can click the photo to make it larger if you need to). My love affair with TJ Maxx continues! Great labels, even better deals, and fantastic products that you just can't find for that price anywhere!
Now I just need somewhere to go! I need plans, people! :)
Until next time,
